What is one thing you wish people knew about being a late model driver?
Driving is the fun part. But most people may not realize how much work goes into getting a race car prepared for a race night. I joke with people and say it's like a second job.
What made you want to race dirt late models versus other kinds of racing?
Mike Marteney and John Bores lived in Bellevue (my hometown) and they raced late models. I spent many nights hanging around at their race shops.
How did growing up in Bellevue affect your interest in racing?
My dad would take me to Attica every Friday night, which was a huge influence on me. Attica was 20 minutes from our house so it was a short drive to the dirt oval.
What would you say is the greatest accomplishment of your racing career so far?
5 track championships at Attica.
What are your plans for this upcoming season?
We plan on racing at tracks around Ohio and support the bigger paying races in my area.
What advice do you have for people who want to race?
If racing is your passion find any way you can to get involved. You become what you think about all day long.
