Nigel Hayes-Davis has been a force for Fenerbahçe this season in the EuroLeague. The Turkish club is currently at the top of the standings with 10 wins and 4 losses. Last season the club finished 12th in the standings while Hayes-Davis was at Barcelona leading them to the top of the regular season.
In just his first season with the club Hayes-Davis has helped turn the club around instantly. He is currently leading the team in minutes per game, second on the team in steals per game and fourth on the team in points per game. Hayes-Davis has started every game for the team.
Nigel Hayes-Davis is a Toledo native and Whitmer graduate where he was a 2013 All-Ohioan. He then went on to play four seasons at the University of Wisconsin where he was 6th man of the year as a freshman while also being named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team. He also a First Team All-Big Ten player his junior year and made the the All-Big Ten Tournament Team twice. Hayes-Davis then played in the NBA G-League during the 2017-18 season while also appearing on the NBA floor in 9 games for three different teams. He then decided to take his talents over seas where he played for Galatasary in Turkey, Žalgiris in Lithuania and Barcelona in Spain before signing with Fenerbahçe this season.
With the season half over there is still a lot that could shake up the league standings. However, it is clear Nigel Hayes-Davis is going to have a say in how this season ends up for Fenerbahçe. Look for the Toledoan to hopefully lead the team to the final and win his first EuroLeague title.
