Nigel Hayes-Davis and Fenerbahce Beko are looking to make a push this postseason as the EuroLeague playoffs are about to start. Fenerbahce will be the #6 seed and face AS Monaco who is led by MVP front runner Mike James.
Fenerbahce is 20-14 this season. Although they have 14 losses, all of them have been by single digits except for two. They are 5-3 over their last eight EuroLeague games. Being in this position, with the postseason about to start, is thanks in large part to Nigel Hayes-Davis who has led the team in most aspects of the game.
Most fans now know Hayes-Davis for becoming the first player in EuroLeague history to score 50 points in one game when he set the record on a March 29th win over ALBA. However, Hayes-Davis has been playing at a high level all season. As evident by him averaging 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in just over 31 minutes per game in EuroLeague competition.
Hayes-Davis is in his second season with Fenerbahce. He previously played in the EuroLeague with Barcelona and Zalgiris Kaunas. Before that he was in EuroCup competition with Galatasary and played in the NBA G-League with nine in game appearances in the NBA.
Fenerbahce and Hayes-Davis have already won the Turkish Cup this season. Last season Hayes-Davis was also named to the Turkish Super League Second Team.
Hayes-Davis was a star at the University of Wisconsin in college and a high school phenom at Whitmer High School outside of Toledo.
