In this young USFL season Nate Holley has emerged has a force on the Stallions defense. The safety currently is ranked 5th in the league in total tackles and has helped Birmingham to a 2-1 record.
Holley and teammate Christian McFarland have both locked down the secondary for the Stallions as are both ranked in the Top 5 in total tackles. Holley has racked up 21 total tackles with 13 of them being solo. Holley has also managed a forced fumble.
In the opening game against the New Jersey Generals, Holley totaled 6 tackles to help give Birmingham the opening day victory. In Week 2, Holley then recorded another 5 tackles in a 42-2 drubbing of the Memphis Showboats. Holley then had a tremendous Week 3 game where he totaled 10 tackles, albeit in a losing effort to the New Orleans Breakers.
This season has been a breakout year for Holley. Last season he had 19 tackles through 5 games for the Stallions before being placed on injured reserve with a lower leg injury.
As defending USFL Champions, the Stallions are a team to watch this season as they have major weapons and winning capabilities. Expect Holley to continue to play a major role and be the face of a defense that has only given up 57 points on the year.
