Division II
Kalida grad Josh Verhoff was runner-up in the 200m dash for Findlay in a time of 21.14, his highest NCAA finish ever. He was also 11th in the 60m dash. Also competing for Findlay was Hopewell-Loudon grad Jordan Foster who was 13th in the mile with a time of 4:12.88. Vaulting for Findlay was Colonel Crawford grad Alex Mutchler who finished tenth with a leap of 16’10.25. Taking 3rd place in the 60m dash was Micah Gremling for Walsh. Gremling is a Findlay grad and his time 6.70 is one of the fastest ever by a Northwest Ohio athlete. Fellow Findlay grad Ben Ireland was a part of Grand Valley State’s fourth place 4x400m relay team.
Patrick Henry grad Trista Fintel took second place in the weight throw for Findlay with a personal best throw of 66’08.75. She also took third place in the shot put with a throw of 50’04. Toledo Central Catholic grad Mary Ellis was a part of Findlay’s 7th place 4x400m relay. Rossford grad Maddie Stacey also competed in the 4x400 relay and finished 11th with her squad for Ashland. Marion Local grad Molly Winner took 16th in the shot put for Ashland as well.
Division III
Whitmer grad Jake Gladieux got the running event finals off to a fast start as he took home the national championship in the 60 hurdles for Trine University. Gladieux has been a multiple time All-American in the hurdles and actually won the 400m hurdle national title in 2021. This is Gladieux’s first indoor national title. Gladieux also finished 6th in the 200m dash. Otsego grad Keegan Digby took third place for Ohio Northern in the shot put with a heave of 58’06 on his final throw. Toledo Christian grad Caleb Correia took third place in the 800m for John Carroll with a time of 1:51.69. Correia was also a part of John Carroll’s third place 4x400m relay team. It was a career best mark by over a foot. Vermilion grad Addison Painter took 7th in the long jump for Marietta with a leap of 23’04.75.
Paulding grad Claire Schweller placed 9th in the pole vault for Ohio Northern with a jump of 12’04.5. Also competing for Ohio Northern was Liberty-Benton grad Izzy Burman who placed 19th in the weight throw.
