Jared “Big Baby” Anderson continues to show the world why he is the next big thing in the heavyweight division. Anderson’s bout with veteran Jerry Forrest left the audience in shock at just how quick the Big Baby was able to handle his 26-6-2 opponent.
Anderson came into the fight with an undefeated 12-0 record, all coming from knockouts. Every boxing fan knows Anderson comes out hard and his matches are usually quick, however, this match was supposed to be a step-up and a multi-round slugfest. But Anderson had other ideas.
Forrest got a good first swing in at the beginning of round one, after that moment Anderson unleashed his barrage of blows that Forrest just did not have an answer for. Anderson threw over 100 punches in the first round alone and left Forrest bewildered and hanging on for life. Forrest took plenty of shots and used himself as a punching bag to survive until the round was over. When the second round bell sounded the referee was just looking for a reason for to call the match as it was clear Forrest was outmatched and struggling. A flying right hand from Anderson landed right on Forrest’s face and sent the veteran fighter leaning over in agony. Anderon had again won by knockout before the third round.
Anderson’s performance was a thriller and it is clear to see that he is the next big thing in the heavyweight division. Not only is he a tremendous fighter, but he is also significantly younger than all of the top dogs in the division. Jared stated after the fight that he is looking to fight all those that rank ahead of him in his division so he can prove that he now the best in the world. One thing is for sure, whoever the Big Baby has next on his schedule better watch out.
