Trevor Harris is back for his 13th CFL season and is looking to take the Saskatchewan Roughriders back to the Grey Cup for the first time since 2013. Harris missed six games in the middle of the season last year due to a lower body injury. Harris helped the Riders win four of their last five games to storm to a playoff spot for the first time since 2021. Harris led the Riders to the West Division Finals before being knocked out by Winnipeg.
The Waldo, Ohio native and Pleasant High School graduate recently signed a one year extension with the Roughriders this past offseason. With Harris and the rest of the offense at full strength, it likely Saskatchewan can have a legitimate shot at the Grey Cup.
Harris will be turning 39-years-old this season and has been a natural leader for the Riders. He has promoted having little roster turnover and trusting the process. He was an All-Star a year ago despite his injury and thinks this team can go all the way.
Harris has won two Grey Cups in his time north of the border, in 2012 with Toronto and 2016 with Ottawa. Saskatchewan is potentially the best team in the West, so long as they can defeat the Blue Bombers. You can see all the Roughriders and CFL games on ESPN+.
