DePaul is in the midst of one of its worst seasons. With only three wins on the year, there is not much to cheer about. However, Da’Sean Nelson has given Blue Demons fans something to hang their hat on.
The Toledo native and Rogers grad is a brute force in the depth of the Big East Conference. The 6’08, 200 pound senior is a high flying forward known for his massive dunks and fast paced attacks.
Nelson played two years of JUCO ball at Kilgore College before making his way to DePaul for the 2022-23 season. Last year Nelson made a huge impression on the conference coming off the bench, bringing lots of power and energy that could change a game.
This season, Nelson leads the team in points scored and field goals made. He is also second on the team in total rebounds, assists, points per game and rebounds per game.
Although DePaul is not having a stellar season. It is clear that Da’Sean Nelson’s basketball future is bright and he has many years of competition left.
