Toledo football has been rolling this season, and it has been in no small part because of Dallas Gant. The senior linebacker has led his hometown team to 10 straight wins and a spot in the MAC Championship.
The Toledo St. John’s product started his career at Ohio State before joining the Rockets a year ago. Last season he was a First Team All-MAC linebacker and had 116 tackles. This season looks like much of the same.
So far this season Gant is leading the Rockets with 84 total tackles. That also puts him 7th in the MAC. His biggest game of the season came in a 13 tackle performance in a win over Buffalo.
Each game this season has slowly been driving up Gant’s NFL possiblities. With three games left, and one of them possibly being a New Year’s Day game, Dallas Gant has a lot of opportunities to showcase himself in front of NFL scouts.
Gant and the Rockets will be playing against Central Michigan to close out the regular season. They then have Miami OH in the MAC Championship and a bowl game to follow.
