Ross Adolph and Connor Curlis have taken their talents to the Kansas City Monarchs of the American Association this spring. The two Hancock County natives were signed this May to the independent team.
Ross Adolph is a Van Buren grad who has been playing pro ball since being drafted in 2018. So far this season Adolph has 16 runs off 16 hits so far this year. He also has 9 RBIs and 7 stolen bases. Adolph is one of six fielders on the team to appear in every game so far this season.
Connor Curlis is a Findlay grad who was also drafted in 2018. This season, Curlis has started one game and appeared in three on the mound. He has given up just four hits with 9 strikeouts in eight innings pitched so far this year. He is currently carrying an ERA of 4.50.
Adolph played for the Houston Astros in spring training last season before being assisgned to Triple-A Sugar Land where he was out most of the year with an injury.
Curlis played for the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts since 2021 before being thwarted with an injury last season.
