Although St. Francis-PA has struggled to a 4-19 record so far this season, they have been able to hang their hats on Holland native and Springfield graduate Kendall Carruthers.
As a true freshman, Carruthers has played more than anyone else on the team. She also leads the team in points, points-per-game, 3-pointers and free throws. Carruthers has also been named Northeast Conference Player of the Week three times this season.
At the conference level, Carruthers is number one in free throw percentage and third in total points. She is clearly a frontrunner for Conference Rookie of the Year.
Carruthers came to St. Francis-PA after being named Third-Team All-Ohio as a senior last season.
St. Francis-PA has six games left before the conference tournament start. You can see their games on ESPN+.
